Meet Houston Lamb, a Service Desk Analyst II at Plow Networks. He joined our team in May of 2021 after being offered a position as an intern. Something that Houston was excited about for his role was getting to grow and learn at a smaller company.
Though a large part of his role on the service desk is communicating directly with clients to identify their needs and implement solutions, he also works behind the scenes to ensure problems are addressed effectively. This includes creating knowledge-based articles to support the Tier I team, engaging with third-party vendors, and tracking trends and analytics to identify problem areas.
Houston’s favorite part about working at Plow Networks is the people. “Everyone at Plow is exceptionally talented in what they do, and everyone is supportive and ready to jump in and help wherever needed. It genuinely feels like working with a group of friends rather than coworkers.”
Of his upcoming projects, Houston is most excited about a Windows 11 initiative he has been tasked with. As Microsoft prepares to end support for Windows 10, our team has been hard at work helping clients transition away from this operating system. Houston has contributed to this by researching and developing an initiative to upgrade client devices to Windows 11.
As a service desk team member, Houston regularly interacts directly with clients to improve their overall satisfaction. He says, “It is always nice to hear that we exceeded expectations or solved an issue faster than the client expected.”
